Industrial Blower Fan
This featured custom CNC machined industrial blower fan is used within an asphalt plant application, and measures 7 feet in diameter. Manufactured from mild steel, the blower fan was made with 4″ channel and 3-7/16″ turned, ground, and polished shafting. Using CAD/Sigma Nest programming for our laser cutter, we laser cut and saw cut housing and fan wheel components. We applied roll forming to form the housing scroll, and MIG welding to weld the housing and fan wheel components. We CNC machined the shaft and hub, and then assembled the wheel, shaft, and bearings to the housing. The final blower fan was spray painted gray. On completion, the fan measured 7′ in outside diameter, 4′ wide, 9′ tall, and weighed 8,500 lbs.
After ensuring that the blower fan met our client’s high standards, we mounted the fan to four-by-fours for transport and delivered it. In total, the project took 8 days. To learn more about this project and others, please contact Horner Fan and Fabrication.
