Laser Cut Copper Tree
Horner Fan and Fabrication undertook this project for the Indiana State Museum, and manufactured a laser cut copper tree intended for display. The museum supplied us with a 2D CAD drawing from which we began the manufacturing process. Using a combination of laser programming and cutting, we manufactured a smooth custom copper tree, measuring 120″ long, 48″ wide and .063″ thick, and weighing 116 lbs. The copper tree leaves were representative of all the counties in Indiana, and we produced two trees total. Upon completion of the project, which took 2 weeks, we bubble wrapped and secured the trees for delivery to the museum.
